Five more years for MedTechLabs
In May 2026, the founding partners of MedTechLabs – Region Stockholm, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and Karolinska Institutet, respectively, decided to continue funding the centre. This means that MedTechLabs will continue its operations until 2030. Since its launch in 2018, MedTechLabs has supported around 10 research and innovation projects, several of which have led to solutions already in use in healthcare or close to clinical implementation.
